  • Online Student Orientation

Welcome to the Monroe College Online community!

The Monroe Online community welcomes our new students who are beginning their studies with us this Spring.

In order to help you understand and get acclimated to Monroe College’s online environment, all new online students must attend an online orientation session. This session will provide you with information about the tools and resources that you will use throughout your entire academic career at Monroe. We also recommend that you attend a Blackboard workshop, where you will receive specific instruction on using the Blackboard site.

To select your session, please send an email to Dara Sheffield at stating the date that you wish to attend, along with your name and contact information. On that date, we suggest that you enter the orientation session well before the start time to ensure that there are no technical issues. Enter the session.

If you have any questions about the content or technical requirements of our online orientation, please e-mail Dara Sheffield at
