First-Year Experience Program
Monroe College is
nationally recognized for its outcomes and exceptional student-focused culture.
Our faculty and staff are committed to helping our students thrive
academically, personally, and professionally.
That journey
begins with our First-Year Experience (FYE) program, a robust approach to
providing freshmen with enhanced resources, services, and support to help them
adjust to college life, navigate through the challenges and opportunities ahead
of them, and ultimately stay on the path toward graduation.
From tutoring
support and technological resources to social activities and special events,
our FYE program is designed to help students grow as students, as young
emerging professionals, and as members of the broader community.
That starts with
building relationships – with the College, with professors, with each other.
Staff and faculty
chosen to be part of our multi-disciplinary FYE team have a proven track record
of helping students achieve their goals.
They are
motivational coaches.
They are problem
solvers.
They are our
freshmen’s strongest advocates on campus.
And they are
relentless in pushing our students to believe in themselves and get to that
stage at graduation.
