Monroe University is dedicated to making sure all its students succeed. If your primary language is not English, our ESL program, called ELLI (English Language Learning Institute) can help with the verbal, written and oral skills you need to succeed.

What's Your Level?

Your level of English proficiency will determine if you're in ELLI I or ELLI II. Intensive English courses grammar, conversation, reading, writing, research and TOEFL Preparation. Most classes meet during the day.

This program fulfills the United States Immigration Services visa requirement for full-time study of English. The ELLI Intensive Program is authorized to issue I-20s to full-time students who meet all the requirements
