    Bachelor’s (BBA) Degree Program in Sports Management

    A Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Sports Management prepares students for managerial positions in the sports management field. Students acquire a strong foundation in management, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, ethics and legal aspects of business. Specific courses in Sport Management and Marketing provide students with an understanding of the role of sports in society and the role of management in sports, as well as opportunities to apply their knowledge in sports-related organizations. Career opportunities abound in areas like professional sports, amateur sports, youth sports, recreation facilities and athletic administration.

    Graduates will establish an understanding of the full range of business and sports management concepts, develop strong business writing and verbal communication skills appropriate to the field, gain exposure to the sports management industry through practical learning and field experiences, and acquire skills for professional, managerial, and sports management positions.

    According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, the business side of sports-related jobs has seen a substantial amount of growth in the US, with promoters of performing arts, sports, and similar events growing by 30 percent between 2010 and 2014 and agents and managers for artists, athletes, entertainers, and other public figures growing by 17 percent.

    Bachelor’s (BBA) Degree Program in General Accounting

    The Bachelor's degree program in General Accounting provides students with the knowledge and skills in preparation for a career in corporate accounting and/or the foundation for an MBA degree. Students are required to take courses in mathematics and business as well as comprehensive liberal arts courses for perspectives on the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences.

    The Bachelor’s degree program in Public Accounting includes many of the core courses found in general accounting plus those required in order to take the CPA exam. Public accounting also includes a number of liberal arts courses not found in general accounting.

    Bachelor’s (BBA) Degree Program in Business Management

    The business management program prepares students for management positions in business and government by supplying the necessary concepts, theories and real-world preparation in the human and organizational aspects of management. The program also provides the analytical, creative and quantitative expertise required to utilize resources and make good business decisions. Many students continue on for their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in the King Graduate School of Business.
