The Master’s degree curriculum is a challenging mix of classes in taxation, analysis, and advanced auditing, plus classes in ethics, leadership, and management. You’ll graduate ready for positions as a public accountant, corporate accountant, and in private industry and nonprofit organizations.
International accounting is a rapidly expanding field and its importance has grown in conjunction with globalization. You’ll be ready to tackle global challenges in the twenty-first century – challenges that require you to be knowledgeable in international financial reporting, harmonization, standardization, and consolidation of financial statements of multinational corporations.
You may be required to take an additional foundation course if this was not taken during your undergraduate studies in accounting. This foundation class is offered either online or on campus during the weekend. Your admissions counselor will advise you as to whether this class is necessary. There is a separate tuition for the foundation course.
Foundations of Statistics
This foundation workshop covers concepts in Descriptive Statistics, Inferential Statistics, Probability, and OLS estimates (trend line with intercept and slop). The objective of the workshop is to strengthen skills in abstract thinking, critical analysis, and forecasting.
