Bachelor's (BBA) Degree Program in Health Services Administration

This degree program is also available online.

Monroe's Bachelor (BBA) of Health Services Administration degree program builds on the strengths of the medical administration degree program. According to the 2012 Occupational Outlook Handbook published by the U.S. Department of Labor, employment of medical and health services managers is expected to grow by 23% through the year 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the large baby-boom population ages and people remain active later in life, the healthcare industry as a whole will see an increase in the demand for medical services.

Monroe’s BBA in Health Services Administration provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to seek positions in hospitals, outpatient facilities, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, doctors' offices and insurance and healthcare management companies. Possible positions are medical office manager, hospital care investigator, community service worker, coordinating manager, managed care specialist, unit coordinator and third-party billing specialist.
