Earn a Certificate of Completion in Grant Research
This 4-part (8-hour) course will provide you with a hands-on experience to give you skill and insight into the grant research, writing and application process from a seeker and funder perspective. In this course you will:
- Identify grant sources using online portals;
- Develop a strategy to develop relationships with funding agencies in your industry;
- Draft your proposal including the following required sections: project description, problem/needs statement, case statement, goal/objectives/outcome, methodology, logic model, budget, dissemination plan and evaluation plan;
- Refine an existing grant proposal;
- Practice writing sections of your proposal;
- Gain deeper understanding into what funders actually are seeking including funding award criteria and scoring.
A Course Designed for Your Success
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Effectively research and find grant opportunities;
- Gather all the information needed to draft a grant proposal;
- Target and eliminate red flags in your proposal through careful editing techniques;
- Enhance your chances for fund selection by review committees by scoring high in funder criteria;
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with potential funding agencies and organizations.
This course is designed for participants interested in starting a career as a grant writer, strengthening professional skill in grant writing and/or adding this skill to their resume for potential opportunities.
All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and will have access to online writing exercises and a workbook for this course
