Phlebotomy & EKG Training and Certification
Become a valued member of the healthcare team! You'll learn to obtain and handle blood specimens correctly, how to perform electrocardiography (EKG), and develop an understanding of the basic anatomy and electrophysiology of the cardiac system. You'll learn to interpret rhythms such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular and atrial contractions. Examine the anatomy and physiology of the heart muscle and delve into the rhythmicity of cardiac tissue. Learn to perform a twelve-lead electrocardiogram and troubleshoot technical problems.
Upon successful course completion, students are eligible to take the Certified ECG Tech Examination offered by the National Healthcare Association (NHA).
We are currently not running any classes but if you are interested for the future, please email Jessie Ortiz-Dice to get more information.
