Become a valued member of the healthcare team! You'll learn to obtain and handle blood specimens correctly, how to perform electrocardiography (EKG), and develop an understanding of the basic anatomy and electrophysiology of the cardiac system. You'll learn to interpret rhythms such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular and atrial contractions. Examine the anatomy and physiology of the heart muscle and delve into the rhythmicity of cardiac tissue. Learn to perform a twelve-lead electrocardiogram and troubleshoot technical problems.
Certification & Credentials
Upon successful course completion, students are eligible to take the Certified ECG Tech Examination offered by the National Healthcare Association (NHA).
EKG & Phlebotomy Class Schedule and Tuition
The class runs 8 weeks from Monday to Thursday from 10 am - 1 pm.
Our next start date is TBD. We will post the date we will return to on site clinical classes asap.
Classes take place at our Bronx campus, West Hall, 2467 Jerome Avenue.
All on campus classes will be taught with the appropriate protocol in place for successful social distancing and masks will be required.
