Division I Men’s Soccer Team Wins National Championship!

They did it again!

Congratulations to our Mustangs men’s soccer team. On Saturday night, the team won the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship in Florida with a score of 2-0.

This was the second time in program history that the Mustangs men’s soccer team took home the top title and trophy. The first time was in 2019.

The Mustangs’ opponents from Arizona Western College played an impressive game and are warmly congratulated for their terrific season.

In addition to the team’s national championship title, several student-athletes joined their head coach in earning personal recognition.
 

  • Tony Yeboah was named the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Men's Soccer Championship Most Valuable Player.
  • Godwin Partey was named the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Men's Soccer Championship Most Valuable Defensive Player. He and Yeboah were also named to the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Men's Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team.
  • Head Coach Marcus DiBernardo was selected as Coach of the Tournament. 

A celebration will be held tonight on campus to celebrate the Mustangs’ victorious season.
