Harold Moreno

“Everything you do in the kitchen comes from the basics, which Monroe emphasizes.”

Harold Moreno is the co-owner and executive chef at The Latin Food Truck. While at Monroe, Chef Harold was a member of the Culinary Service Club and was in the Honors Program. In 2013, he received his associate degree in culinary arts, then graduated magna cum laude with his bachelor’s degree in hospitality management in 2014.

Chef Harold credits the school for his success.   “Everything you do in the kitchen comes from the basics,” he said, noting that Monroe placed great emphasis on the fundamental of cooking.

He added Monroe’s culinary classes are small and you are often working one-on-one with the professors. “It’s like working in a small, family kitchen – which is how it works in a professional kitchen,” he said.
