“I now oversee all of Davenport College’s hospitality operations, manage a $500,000 budget, and take charge of the college’s event planning.”

“When I heard that King Graduate School was starting a year-long, online Hospitality Management program, I knew it would fit into my hectic work schedule. I run the dining operations at Yale University’s Davenport College,” says Shaffrona Phillip-Christie, who wrote her thesis on healthy eating on college campuses.

The week-long residency at the beginning of the program helped students come together and bond as a team, she adds, while the residency at the end allowed them to solidify their learning and celebrate graduation together.

“I was promoted to operations manager a few weeks before my graduation from the program. I now oversee all of Davenport College’s hospitality operations, manage a $500,000 budget, and take charge of the college’s event planning.”
