What happens on move-in day?
Staff members will greet you as you pull up to campus. You will be directed to a spot where you will unload your vehicle from a curb space close to your assigned dorm building.
We will have wheelie bins to help you bring everything to your room.
Students will be directed where to go to check-in and pick up their room key.
Once the car is unloaded, someone from Public Safety will tell you where you may park.
Please note: You may not leave the car unattended at any time while unloading. Don’t worry – we will have plenty of staff people on hand during your move-in to provide information.
Other important details:
- Family members may not accompany the student into the check-in area or dorm
- Face masks or similar coverings must be worn
- Social distancing measures will be enforced
- Elevators will be limited to two individuals at a time
- Hand sanitizing stations will be available to students
Is there a separate orientation meeting for new housing students?
